• Re: Scouting Help

Our Girl Scout Council obtained a grant from Best Buy that provided enough for ten GPS units, some ammo cans and swag and some awesome mapping software. Good luck and Happy Scoutingz1

  • Re: Abandonned Categories Hall of Shame - Pedestrian Suspension Bridges

This is the big reason I thought it might be a good idea to find a way to promote a ''co-leader'' to these groups, with full priveledges. Someone who can make decisions to promote members, etc. If the current leader doesn't get the hint after having a ''mentor'', then the ''group'' could go ahead with whatever ''ousting'' ...

  • Re: Abandonned Categories Hall of Shame - Pedestrian Suspension Bridges

It's definately frustrating to submit to a category and know up front that your mark is going to sit there indefinately. If your a ''grid'' player it's got to be even more maddening. Surely there is a way for the powers that be to allow users to select a group co-leader and promote them for the purpose of adding active members, editing, etc. I ...

globetrotters.us: opinionate:What if, instead of taking you to the waymark review page, the URL in the email takes you instead to the review queue? Would introducing this extra step annoy you? I'd like to go one step further. If my waymarking messages could stay in a queue on the waymarking website, instead of going to my email. The a little ...

Nah...It's just a bandaid. ''Bandaid'' is my Girl Scout ''camp'' name and was given to me about 7 years ago by a group of girls at ''Winter Camp'' where I was the camp nurse. First of all, I'm going to put these out here BEFORE I try to write a category. I see folks in the forums getting their feelings hurt or being angry because they got a negative vote, but they never put their ideas to the ''membership'' to get ideas and work out bugs. I've never tried to write my own category, so be kind...LOL! I Like the stacking idea, where you would have pictures or links on the waymark page of say the 6 closest waymarks. When you go to a waymark page, if you click on search for nearest waymarks you will generally pull up any cross posts for the same location, but it would be nice to see them on the wamark page instead of opening another ...

I read it as an exclusive category in the fact that only members and officers could post to it. Did I read that right? I also thought it was way to vague. For the life of me I don't see why you wouldn't put it out there in the forums first and get some feedback before you send it to peer review.
