BruceS: Big B Bob: opinionate: The resulting categorized waymark recognizes the user who originally contributed the proto-waymark with a credit on the page. I just helped to categorize an uncategorized waymark (WM7M4D) and now
I'm the one who gets the credit for the waymark... in other words, I'm
the new owner! WHAT? The original ...

Nope! Got nothing here either. How did you fix a Facebook App if the app is not yours... or is it?

cache_test_dummies:Ah, I see. So it is broken. At the moment, 1/1/1700 works, 11/11/1700 works, 01/01/1700 results in an error. Thanks, Bruce.Yep! Having the same problem. After you get rid of the first zeros,(5/3/1876) and hit save, it corrects it by adding back the zeros on the completed page (05/03/1876). But when you jump

Is it me or has the Brand New Uncategorized Category become a dumping ground for half-cooked waymarks? I thought the idea was to put them there so to be recognized by others that they would actually fit in one the 941 categories. Instead, I'm seeing requests for names of religious statues and needs for requiered pictures that the ...

I dropped this comment on the photos he stole from me....

OK, the One-Room Schoolhouses category is up for Peer Review.
As they say in my home state of Louisiana:
Vote Early and Vote Often! ;)

I have had the problem that BruceS has had.. it works the second time. But this time I'm getting nothing, and my photos are in the size range of 875kb to 1.5mb... small enough to upload. I did shrink a few and a few did upload, but now nothing will stick... very frustrating ,because I was getting a bunch done that I had backed up on my ...

Because of the 100% vote requirement, I can't get my category (One-Room Schoolhouses) to the next step.
It's not that a officer has voted against the category, it's that one did not vote at all.
The first time was my fault, I added a Officer AFTER I sent out the Group Vote, so that person did not receive the vote notice. This time one of the ...

I've recently taken over the One-Room Schoolhouses proposed category and made some chages to it.
I've read the past comments from previous forum conversations and used those suggestions to design a decent category. I would appreciate some positive ...

chapterhouseinc:beyond horses, i would be more inclined for those that make weapons, armor, or tools....
so then to clarify: must they use fire, hammer and anvil--and be stationary?
Ooh, I like the weapon, armor, and tools variables... We will include those!
Fire, Hammer, and Anvil - YES, a must! Just stationary? No, we're also including ...

Yes, we would exclude farriers, that would be a person, not a place. If they have a coal fire, iron, anvil and hammer, and they create horseshoes and other twisted metal... they would be included... no matter how small.

Hey guys, all good points to discuss! ''Recreations'' was the word I was looking for, instead of ''reenacting''... Thanks Silverquill!
Although, I will disagree, there is enough prevalence to sustain this category... I mean, it's no ''McDonalds'' category, but it will hold it's own. I'm still hashing out the requirements and variables, but we ...

I created a new group for waymarking current, historical, reenacting, and former blacksmith shops. Looking for constructive feedback.

''I really feel lumping together an entire culture's cuisine
into a single category is too general. Yes it is Chinese, but Chinese
is not a single food. I see, that the western restaurants have been
separated into distinct categories already, yet Chinese, which consists
of as many different styles, only has one.''
I agree!

BQThe iPhone 3G takes 2 Mp geotagged photos. The iPhone 3GS takes 3Mp geotagged photos, as does the soon-to-be-released Garmin Oregon 550(T).Just sayin'.

What becomes of neglected categories? I'm having the same problems discussed above. I am an officer in Vintage Movie Theaters and we as a group are quick to review a new waymark...sometimes multiple approvals within seconds of each other. Obviously, not all groups are that enthusiastic. Some of these other ''cats'' seem thoroughly ...
