  • Recruiting members for 'Canadian Living History Sites' new category

Living history is an activity that incorporates historical tools, activities and dress into an interactive presentation that seeks to give observers and participants a sense of stepping back in time. Although it does not necessarily seek to reenact a specific event in history, living history is similar to, and sometimes incorporates, historical ...

I can understand that logic, but there are other ways do to this than starting a new category. Can i make a sub category  in Cycling Routes then ?Or tell me about the other ways

The old Mushrooms are white and when they replaces them they are now red and white. So we can use that for the ANWB Knooppunten as well.John

  • Re: Girl Scout Gold Award Project Sites

This probably WILL be more challenging than the Eagle Projects - but I know they must be out there - there ARE girls who like to ''build things'' - not just hold events...   Our Council told me ''we don't keep records like that'' -- ?????  really?  somewhere there must be records of some kind - the hunt is on!

  • Re: Girl Scout Gold Award Project Sites

If it is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project - it can be inside or outside - but public accessible would be more desirable  If no Troop number - then the Service Unit - or at the very least the Council the Girl is/was a part of should be included - I don't think it it ''required'' for the Eagle category (???)last name...  ??  ...

  • Proposed New Category: World Peace Bells

G'day all, I am looking for officers to join me in the category. While it is a somewhat limited category (currently there are only 21 World Peace Bells world wide) I feel it has significant merit. http://www.wpba.jp/ While the link opens by default in Japanese, there is and English link at the top of the page. This is the link to the ...

Hi... I'm brand new on Waymark..... but noticed that there is no category for any Labor Union offices or Halls. • Historical Signs - I want to make another run at it.

At various times we have kicked around the concept of a category to try to cover all those historical markers that fall through the cracks of the other categories.  My first attempt was to create such a category for just Wisconsin, but that one was vetoed by the powers that be.What I am attempting is to create a worldwide category for ...

  • "Another Sign" Category.

cldisme:I would argue against the category based on they are too prevalent (one marker every two miles) and the danger factor of roadside waymarking (which never a good idea in my book). You know... all of you are right. --  Who wants to read and post another  sign anyway,  like those other plaques along a road or in a park or ...

I don't see anything comparable to this idea, but feel free to correct me.  I've been using Self Guided Nature Trails for a handful of Wherigo ideas (e.g. Nunatak and  South Plateau Trail Guide), and thought that they may be deserving of their own Category.Other nearby examples would be:Monterey Path of HistoryJapantown, San ...
