  • Emails for my newly created WM's

Am I supposed to receive something like geocaching.com's ''Cache Report Submitted'' or ''[Log] Owner Post Reviewer Note'' for any new waymarks I create? I have not received anything for the last 10, all are works in progress so perhaps that's it. But even on geocaching.com works in progress send you at least one email of one kind or another.

  • Where's the Thrill of Discovery????

In the filter section, one can ''filter out'' waymarks WITHOUT photos. But we PREFER  waymarks WITHOUT photos. How about a filter that SCREENS OUT waymark listings WITH photos? OR .... EVEN BETTER....  MUCH BETTER How about  having to bring up HIDDEN PHOTOS ..... ie, the listing opens WITHOUT photos and one has to ...

  • Posting Note Updates Last Visited Date??

I am new to waymarking, but have now published 6 waymarks.  For some, I have posted a note to the waymark instead of logging a visit and complication my numbers.  I notice that even a note updates the last visited date.  While it is technically true in this case since I did visit the waymark when I gathering the info to publish it, ...

  • Add Icon to existing category - How do I?

Ok, I am the category manager for Mountain Bike Trailheads and would like to either get an icon crafted and assigned, or use one I cobbled together so it would have a default icon.Note, not a default image, but like the fountains category has a little fountain icon when viewing the category, I'd like a little icon for the Mtn Bike Trailheads ...

  • Deleting Items

Wouldn't it make sense to allow the person that submitted a waymark to delete it if it didn't pass submission from their My Page? Also, what about those categories that the Peer Review decided not to allow? If we could delete these, less space would be taken up and perhaps, just perhaps the site would run a bit more smoothly and faster. There is a ...

  • XML Bug in .LOC download - "Whitespace not allowed"

Attempting to download a couple of pages of WM's using the ''Check all'' function then downloading each page into a .LOC file.  When I go to open page 2 & 4 of my WM files in EASY GPS (also tried GSAK), I get an XML error.  EASY GPS gives me this specific error:Error 0xC00CE513 on line 71, position 29Reason:  Whitespace is not ...

  • Odd map coordinates

I suspect that having the waymark approved will correct this problem, but it's rather confusing. A waymark awaiting approval (http://www.waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?f=1&guid=45b5465a-1dd8-4684-90de-f420f33da41f&lat=54.13865&lon=-4.47545&t=6&gid=2) shows a Google map. The map has coordinates above it, and you'd assume that ...

  • Waymarks in Firefox

I use both Firefox and IE7 - but I have to remember to use IE when submitting a Waymark. Otherwise, spurious characters are added at the end of the Long Description. This seems to have been happening for as long as I can remember - known bug? To clear the characters out  (they are invisible in Edit mode, but visible when viewing the ...

  • Would You Like to Waymark Your Own Location

You know what's funny....there is no place to put one's OWN Lat and Long in the User Profile. Seems like it would be a natural to allow folks to store their own Lat/Log in their Profile and allow a search of fellow Waymarkers/Geocachers in one's area. Of course with the accuracy of GPS is it as good as giving away your address :). ...

  • Wish List

I tried to find a wishlist but didn't have any success. I know that there have been many suggestions in the different threads but thought one dedicated to the topic might be worthwhile. Here is my first wish. I wish that the waymark gallery link on a waymark page had a number next to it like the category gallery does. The picture thumbnails show 5 ...

  • Waymark owner control over logs

I just read where the group leader and designated officers now have control over the logs in their catetory and the waymark owner (founder) will no longer have control over visit logs. The original poster will continue to have the ability to make changes to his or her waymark, however the ''visit'' logs will no longer be under his or her control. ...

  • Editing File caption/description of already uploaded photo's

It often occurs that you want to edit the caption/description of already uploaded photo's. Now you must delete the photo and again upload to same photo with the changed text Is there a reason why that is not possible? ALbert

  • Messages to management group being sent individually

I've noticed that when I send a message to all the members of one of my waymark management groups, the message is sent individually from Groundspeak to each recipient. Even though I reveal my email address, the received message includes only mine, not the addresses of the other recipents. So if a recipient uses the reply function in their email ...
